Property Description
Muddy Bayou Plantation is a rare opportunity to own a premier high-fence hunting and recreational property in Iberville Parish, Louisiana. Located on Highway 69 in White Castle, this unique 1,979± acre property offers the kind of privacy, improvements, and hunting opportunities that are hard to find anywhere in South Louisiana. With approximately 1,600 acres inside the high fence and the remainder of the acres outside the high fence, Muddy Bayou Plantation is set up for serious hunting, family getaways, and first-class corporate entertaining. The wildlife is a major attraction, with big trophy-sized axis deer and whitetails roaming the fenced acreage. Whether you enjoy chasing big bucks yourself or hosting guests for a hunt they will never forget, this place delivers. Duck hunters will appreciate the several established duck holes that are already planted and ready for the season. In fact, ducks were flying overhead while the property photos were being taken! With room to hunt both inside and outside the fence, the recreational possibilities here are outstanding. The improvements make this plantation just as impressive as the hunting. The main lodge features five bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms, providing plenty of space and comfort for owners and guests. A separate guest lodge offers four additional bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, making it easy to accommodate larger groups while giving everyone room to spread out. Behind the main lodge, an outdoor kitchen and entertaining area overlooks a beautiful stocked pond. It's the perfect spot to cook, relax, tell hunting stories, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings after a day in the woods. Muddy Bayou Plantation has been used for years as a place to entertain clients, and it's easy to see why. From the comfortable lodging and outdoor gathering spaces to the outstanding hunting, everything about this property lends itself to creating memorable experiences. A large pole barn, enclosed shop, and separate caretaker quarters add to the property's functionality. There are currently two full-time caretakers, another indication of the level of attention this place receives. Despite its secluded setting, the plantation is conveniently located just 15 minutes from Plaquemine and a short ferry ride across the Mississippi River from Donaldsonville. That combination of easy access and complete privacy is difficult to duplicate. Whether you're searching for a corporate retreat, a private family hunting plantation, or a legacy recreational investment, Muddy Bayou Plantation deserves a serious look. Properties offering this much acreage, trophy wildlife, established duck hunting, and extensive lodging rarely come available in this part of Louisiana. Bring together family, friends, and business associates without sacrificing privacy. From sunrise duck hunts to evenings around the pond, this is a place to enjoy year after year.
